1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the steering column covers (see «STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-291392-S33469481142008072800000) ).
4. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from the ignition switch (B). (Scheme 1): Identifying Ignition Switch 7P Connector Terminals
5. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table. (Scheme 2): Ignition Switch Terminals Continuity Reference Chart
6. If the continuity checks do not agree with the table, replace the ignition switch (see «TEST»(ref-291409-S28827316012008072800000) ).
7. After reconnecting the battery. Enter the anti-theft codes for the audio system. Set the clock.
