U0029 F-CAN MALFUNCTION (BUS-OFF (PCM))
  1. Problem verification: 1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS See «HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE A/T SYSTEM»(ref-595372-S19132079362014013100000) or «HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT THE FUEL AND EMISSIONS SYSTEMS»(ref-595375-S37864539652014013100000) . 3. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS. DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame U0029 F-CAN MALFUNCTION (BUS-OFF (PCM)) Is DTC U0029 indicated? YES : The failure is duplicated. Update the PCM See «PCM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-595374-S31779448642014013100000) or «PCM UPDATE»(ref-595375-S42937672232014013100000) if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM See «PCM UPDATE»(ref-595375-S42937672232014013100000) or «PCM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-595374-S31779448642014013100000) , then do the repair verification . NO : Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
