Is DTC U0029 indicated?
YES : If the PCM was updated, substitute a known-good PCM See PCM UPDATE or PCM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , then recheck. If the PCM was substituted, go to step 1 .
NO : If the PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM See PCM UPDATE or PCM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

- Open wire check (F CAN-H line): 1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0). 2. Jump the SCS line with the HDS. 3. Disconnect the following connectors. PCM connector A (49P) Real time AWD control unit 24P connector 4. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2. - Open wire check (IG1 P/W line): 1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0). 2. Disconnect the following connector. Real time AWD control unit 24P connector 3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). 4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2. Test condition IG ON (II) Real time AWD control unit 24P connector: disconnected Test circuit IG1 P/W Test point 1 Real time AWD control unit 24P connector No. 12 (RED) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage? Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2. Test condition IG LOCK (0) VSA modulator-control unit 38P connector: disconnected Test circuit +B ABS/VSA FSR Test point 1 VSA modulator control unit 38P connector No. 4 (WHT) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage? YES : The +B ABS/VSA FSR wire is OK. Go to step 4. NO : Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
- Open wire check (IG1 VSA/ABS line): 1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
