Charging System - Generators & Regulators (All Except Hatchback): Removal & Installation Honda Civic VII

Removal

1. Ensure you have the anti-theft code the radio. Write down the frequencies for radio's preset buttons.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Remove the adjust plate mounting bolt "A", locknut "B" and mounting bolt "C". Remove the Power Steering (P/S) pump belt "D" and pump without disconnecting the P/S hoses. (Scheme 6)
4. Disconnect the 4 pin connector "A" and alternator cable "B" from the alternator. (Scheme 7)
5. Loosen the adjusting bolt "A", and remove the lock bolt "B" and mounting bolt "C". Remove the alternator belt and alternator. (Scheme 8)

Installation

1. Install the alternator and alternator belt in the reverse order of removal.
2. Adjust the alternator belt tension and alternator compressor belt tension. See «ALTERNATOR BELT»(ref-153318-S27051005172004060900000) under ADJUSTMENT.
3. Enter the anti-theft code for the radio. Enter the customer's radio station presets.
4. Set the clock.
5. Perform the ECM PCM idle learn procedure, and the power window control unit reset procedure. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
