Removal & Installation (Civic)
Remove mirror mount cover. Remove door grip cover and speaker cover. Remove screws behind door grip cover and speaker cover (front). Release clips holding door panel in place using a trim pad remover. Remove door panel by pulling upward. Disconnect electrical connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (CR-V)
Remove inner handle. On front doors, remove speaker cover and 3 screws under speaker cover. On rear doors, remove screw from beverage holder. On all doors, remove screws from armrest. Release clips holding door panel in place using a trim pad remover. Lifting upward, remove door panel with as little bending as possible. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Civic Sedan - Front)
- Remove door panel. See «DOOR PANEL»(ref-4233-S11503904302000061500000) . Remove plastic cover. Move glass to access bolts. Remove bolts, and pull glass out through window slot. Disconnect window regulator connector. Detach harness clip. Unbolt and remove regulator through opening in door. Scribe a line across sector gear and regulator. Remove motor from regulator.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Grease all sliding surfaces of regulator. Ensure there is no clearance between glass and glass run channel when glass is closed. Adjust glass as necessary. See «DOOR GLASS»(ref-4233-S24737916862000061500000) under ADJUSTMENTS.
Removal & Installation (CR-V, Civic Coupe, Hatchback & Sedan - Rear)
- Remove door panel. See «DOOR PANEL»(ref-4233-S11503904302000061500000) . Remove plastic cover. Move glass to access bolts. Remove bolts. On Civic sedan rear doors, unbolt rear glass channel. On all other Civic models, slide guide rearward. On CR-V, slide guide forward. On all models, unhook glass from guide and carefully pull glass out through window slot.
- Disconnect electrical connector and harness clip. Scribe a line around rear roller guide bolt to show original installation position. Remove regulator retainer bolts. Pull regulator out through hole in door.
- Grease all sliding surfaces of regulator tracks. If removing power window motor, scribe a line across sector gear and regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Civic Coupe & Hatchback)
Remove screw in armrest pull pocket. Lift pocket from rear and release front hook. Unplug electrical connector. Remove 2 mounting screws. Remove power window switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Civic Sedan)
Remove outer door grip cover. Remove switch retainer screw and unplug electrical connectors. Remove power window master switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Master power window switch is located in switch panel on left side of dash. Remove lower dash cover. Push master switch panel out from rear. Disconnect all electrical connectors. Remove master power window switch. Individual passenger power window switches may be removed from master switch panel in similar manner. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Remove screw in armrest pull pocket. Lift pocket from rear and release front hook. Unplug electrical connector. Remove 2 mounting screws. Remove power window switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Remove door grip cover. Unplug electrical connector. Remove mounting screw and power window switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Remove inner handle retaining screw. Pull handle outward. Disconnect inner handle rod and electrical connector. Remove 2 passenger switch mounting screws. To install, reverse removal procedure.
