Wheel Alignment Specifications & Adjustment Procedures: Specifications Honda Civic GA

Accord & Prelude (Except Prelude With Automatic Torque Transfer System - ATTS)

  1. If caster needs adjustment, raise front of vehicle and support it using safety stands. Remove lock nut on end of radius (strut) rod. (Scheme 1) Remove radius rod bolts and radius rod from lower control arm.
  2. Adjust caster angle by increasing or decreasing adjusting shims. On Prelude, a 1/8" (3.2 mm) thick shim changes caster angle by 0.67 degree (40 minutes). Caster angle can be adjusted a maximum of 1.33 degree (one degree, 20 minutes). On Accord, a 1/8" (3.2 mm) thick shim changes caster angle by 0.58 degree (35 minutes). Caster angle can be adjusted a maximum of 1.17 degree (one degree, 10 minutes). Install NEW lock nut. Tighten radius rod bolts and lock nuts to specification.
