- Disconnect battery. Remove engine oil dipstick. Raise and support vehicle. Remove accessory drive belt splash shield. Drain crankcase. Remove flywheel cover. Remove front engine mount through-bolts.
- Raise engine. Support in place with wood blocks. Disconnect oil cooler line. Remove oil filter adapter. Remove pitman arm and idler arm. Remove front differential mount through-bolts. Remove front drive shaft. Roll differential forward. Remove starter. Remove oil pan bolts, oil pan and gasket.
