Servo assembly consists of a vacuum diaphragm that actuates the throttle lever and 2 vacuum control solenoids (vacuum solenoid and vent solenoid). (Scheme 1) Vacuum and vent solenoids, responding to commands from cruise control module, regulate vacuum supply to diaphragm. Engine manifold vacuum (or vacuum pump on vehicles with diesel engine) provides vacuum source for diaphragm.
