Wheel Alignment Specifications & Procedures: Other Geo Metro I

Front

  1. Adjust front wheel toe-in by changing tie rod length. Loosen rack boot clamps (small end), and slide clamps from boot. Loosen right and left tie rod end lock nuts.
  2. Turn right and left tie rods same amount to adjust toe-in to specification. See «ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-52879-S12838727672001011800000). Tighten tie rod end nuts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-52879-S08073365752001011800000). Dimension "A" should be the same on left and right tie rods. (Scheme 1)

Rear

  1. Adjust rear wheel toe-in by rotating control rod inside bolt (cam bolt). (Scheme 2) Loosen right and left control rod inside nuts. Turn right and left control rod inside bolts same amount to set toe-in to specification. See «ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-52879-S12838727672001011800000) table.
  2. After adjustment, tighten right and left control rod inside nuts to specification while holding control rod inside bolts. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-52879-S08073365752001011800000).
