Riding Height Adjustment: Overview Geo Metro I

Wheel Alignment 1 illustration ~123 words

Before adjusting alignment, check riding height. (Scheme 5) Riding height must be checked with vehicle on level floor, tires properly inflated, no extraneous weight in vehicle and at least 1/2 tank of fuel. Bounce vehicle several times, and allow suspension to settle. See RIDING HEIGHT table for riding height specifications.

Visually inspect vehicle for signs of abnormal height from front to rear or side to side. Check passenger and luggage compartments for extra heavy items, and remove items if present. If riding height is not within specification, check, repair or replace suspension components. Riding height between right and left sides should vary less than 0.60" (15.0 mm). True riding height should be an average of several measurements.
