- Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Drain engine oil. Remove flywheel inspection cover. Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
- Remove oil pan bolts and oil pan. Remove oil pump pick-up tube for oil pan removal (if necessary).
Installation
Apply RTV Sealant (1052917) to oil pan seal surface before installing. Install new gasket on oil pump pick-up tube. Install oil pump pick-up tube and oil pan. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE at the end of this article.
