Inspection and Verification
- Verify the customer concern by operating the exterior rear view mirrors to duplicate the concern.
- Inspect the components of the exterior rear view mirror systems to determine if any of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply: VISUAL INSPECTION Mechanical Electrical Exterior rear view mirrors Exterior mirror control switch Central junction box (CJB) fuse: 34 (5A) Wiring harness Loose or corroded connections
- If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
- If the concern is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to the «SYMPTOM CHART»(ref-204625-S19536716872005111300000) .

- Remove the sail panel. Release the exterior rear view mirror electrical connector from the sail panel.
- Disconnect the exterior rear view mirror electrical connector.
- Remove the nuts and the exterior rear view mirror.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Disconnect the interior rear view mirror electrical connector.
- Remove the interior rear view mirror. Insert a small flat-blade screwdriver into the slot at the base of the mirror. Hold the mirror and pull the screwdriver rearward until the mirror snaps off the interior rear view mirror bracket.

- Install the interior rear view mirror. Slide the mirror onto the windshield button until fully seated.
- Connect the interior rear view mirror electrical connector.

- Remove the exterior rear view mirror glass. For additional information, refer to «EXTERIOR MIRROR GLASS»(ref-204625-S38619943202005111300000) .
- Remove the exterior rear view mirror motor. Remove the screws. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Position the inner edge of the exterior rear view mirror glass to its maximum travel.
- Grasp the outboard edge of the exterior rear view mirror glass and pull outward.
- Remove the exterior rear view mirror glass.
