- Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-209935) article .
- Install the 3-bar engine support kit.
- Remove the cooler tube bolt for the cooling tube.
- Install the engine lifting bracket.
- Remove the clips and the RH upper cowl grille.
- Remove the three screws, clip and the RH lower cowl grille.
- Remove the bolt, nut and the rear support brace.
- Install the rear engine lifting bracket in the same location where the top bolt was removed from the rear support brace.
- Support the engine with the special tool.
- Install the engine lifting bracket on the right (back) hand side of the engine.
- Install the engine lifting bracket on the left (front) hand side of the engine.
- If equipped, remove the roll-restrictor bolt and nut.
- Remove the downstream catalytic converter.
- Support the exhaust system to one side under the vehicle.
- Remove the air dam. Remove the seven screws. Remove the three bolts. Remove the air dam.
- Remove the front tires and wheels. For additional information, refer to «WHEELS & TIRES»(ref-209885) article .
- Remove the two lower ball joint nuts.
- Using the special tools, disconnect the ball joint from the lower arm.
- Push the lower arm downward until the ball joint is free of the arm.
- Remove the two nuts and disconnect the front stabilizer bar links.
- Support the steering gear to prevent damage to the steering shaft.
- Remove the steering gear nuts.
- Remove the four bolts holding the power steering line to the frame.
- Remove the RH front engine mount nut.
- Remove the RH rear engine mount nut.
- Remove the transmission insulator support bracket bolts from the frame.
- Remove the pin-type retainers from the RH subframe splash shield.
- Using a suitable support table, support the subframe.
- Remove the four subframe bolts and lower the subframe from the vehicle.
- Transfer all components as necessary.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. With an assistant, align the subframe and tighten the subframe bolts.
- Check the front end alignment and adjust as necessary. For additional information, refer to «SUSPENSION SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION»(ref-209883) .
