REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
Removal & Installation (3.0L 2-Valve)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect wiring from generator. Remove accessory drive belt. Remove 2 bolts, and remove generator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Removal & Installation (3.0L 4-Valve)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove engine crank pulley and accessory drive belt. Disconnect wiring from generator. Remove 3 generator mounting bolts, and remove generator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
