GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
Note. This section contains information, steps and procedures that may not be specific to your engine.
The engine incorporates the following features
- a closed positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system. Refer to «ENGINE - 4.6L (2V)»(ref-206736) and/or «ENGINE - 5.4L (3V)»(ref-206737) .
- an evaporative emission control system. Refer to «FUEL SYSTEM»(ref-206743) .
Some engines incorporate a fail-safe cooling system.
The engine, fuel system, ignition system, emissions system and exhaust system all affect exhaust emission levels and must be maintained according to the maintenance schedule.
Correct engine identification is required to order parts.
