Removal & Installation

1. Using flat-blade tool, pull door trim panel accessory trim plate away from door trim panel at service notch. Lift door trim panel accessory trim plate away from door trim panel to release retaining clip at rear. Remove door trim panel accessory trim plate. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, disconnect switch harness connector(s). Set door trim panel accessory trim plate aside.
2. Remove inside door handle pull cup. Remove trim cover, inboard from exterior mirror near "A" pillar. On models with premium sound system, remove door speaker. On all models, remove door trim panel-to-door retaining screws. Release door trim panel-to-door pin-type retainers. Lift upward on door trim panel. Remove door trim panel. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect Generic Electronic Module (GEM) harness connectors. Release GEM locking tab. Slide GEM off mounting bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Using flat-blade tool, pull door trim panel accessory trim plate away from door trim panel at service notch. Lift door trim panel accessory trim plate away from door trim panel to release retaining clip at rear. Remove door trim panel accessory trim plate. Remove window/door lock switch-to-door trim panel accessory trim plate retaining screws. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, pry harness connector(s) from window/door lock switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Removal & Installation (Front)

Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL . Remove door speaker. Remove 3 window motor mounting screws. Disconnect window motor harness connector. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten window motor mounting screws to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).

Removal & Installation (Rear)

Lower convertible top to full down position. Remove lower rear seat cushion. Remove 2 upper rear seat cushion retaining bolts. Remove upper rear seat cushion. Remove door sill trim plate. Remove front seat belt anchor bolt. Remove pin-type retainers. Remove speaker grille. Remove pin-type retainers and quarter trim panel. Remove water shield. Remove 3 window motor mounting screws. Disconnect window motor harness connector. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten window motor mounting screws to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).

1. Remove door trim panel. See «DOOR TRIM PANEL»(ref-99028-S37100616462001061900000) . Remove door speaker. Remove interior weatherstrip from door frame. Remove 2 door window glass inner stabilizer bolts at top of door frame. Remove 2 door window glass inner stabilizers. Remove door window stop bracket screws, located near top of inside door frame. Remove door window stop brackets.
2. Remove exterior weatherstrip rivet at top rear of door frame. Remove exterior weatherstrip. Remove 2 window regulator rivets. Tip front edge of window glass down to clear door filler. Remove door window glass. Disconnect window motor harness connector. Remove 2 window regulator run channel screws located in middle of door frame. Remove window regulator run channel. Remove window regulator.
3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Transfer parts to new window regulator as necessary. Tighten window regulator run channel screws to 80 INCH lbs. (9 N.m). Adjust door window glass. See «DOOR WINDOW HEIGHT STOP»(ref-99028-S00243299462001061300000) and «STABILIZER»(ref-99028-S10733289922001061300000) under ADJUSTMENTS.

1. Lower convertible top to full down position. Remove lower rear seat cushion. Remove 2 upper rear seat cushion retaining bolts. Remove upper rear seat cushion. Remove door sill trim plate. Remove front seat belt anchor bolt. Remove pin-type retainers. Remove speaker grille. Remove pin-type retainers and quarter trim panel.
2. Disconnect speaker harness connector(s). Remove speaker retaining screws. Remove speaker. Remove water shield. Remove interior weatherstrip. Disconnect any harness connectors necessary to gain access to rear window glass-to-window regulator bolts. Remove rear window glass-to-window regulator bolts. Remove rear window glass. Remove rear window regulator fasteners. Remove rear window regulator.
3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten rear window regulator fasteners to 80 INCH lbs. (9 N.m). Tighten rear window glass-to-window regulator bolts to 106 INCH lbs. (12 N.m). Adjust rear window glass. See «REAR QUARTER GLASS (CONVERTIBLE)»(ref-99028-S27203810432001061300000) under ADJUSTMENTS. Tighten front seat belt anchor bolt to 30 ft. lbs. (40 N.m). Tighten 2 upper rear seat cushion retaining bolts to 98 INCH lbs. (11 N.m).
