Adjustment

Note. Camber Adjustment

Scheme 1

Scheme 1: Adjustment
  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the camber settings.
  2. Refer to: «COWL PANEL»(ref-658872-S27388717752014092900000) .
  3. NOTE: The crossbrace must be removed to gain access to the strut rod nut. On both sides.
  4. NOTE: The strut upper bolts must be temporarily installed prior to loosening the strut rod nut. On both sides.
  5. NOTE: By loosening the strut rod nut and either pushing the strut inboard or pulling it outboard the camber can be adjusted by approximately 0.25 degrees. To make a negative camber adjustment, loosen the strut rod nut and push the strut inboard. To make a positive camber adjustment, loosen the strut rod nut and pull the strut outboard. Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
  6. On both sides.
  7. On both sides. Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm) 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)
  8. Torque : 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
  9. Refer to: «COWL PANEL»(ref-658872-S27388717752014092900000) .

Note. Cross Camber Adjustment

Scheme 2

Scheme 2: Adjustment
  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the camber settings.
  2. If equipped.
  3. Loosen: 720-1080°
  4. NOTE: Shifting the subframe towards the passenger side increases the driver side camber and decreases the passenger side camber. Shifting the subframe towards the driver side increases the passenger side camber and decreases the driver side camber.
  5. Torque: Stage 1: 103 lb.ft (140 Nm) Stage 2: 180° Torque: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
  6. Refer to: «FRONT TOE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-658847-S39501925392014092900000) .

Note. Cross Caster Adjustment

  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the caster settings.
  2. If equipped.
  3. Loosen: 720-1080°
  4. NOTE: Shifting the subframe forward increases the caster. Shifting the subframe rearward decreases the caster.
  5. Torque: Stage 1: 103 lb.ft (140 Nm) Stage 2: 180° Torque: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
  6. Refer to: «FRONT TOE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-658847-S39501925392014092900000) .
  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the rear camber.
  2. NOTE: If the rear camber is below the minimum specification, the camber can be adjusted +1.0 degree by replacing the upper arm with an upper arm repair kit. Replace the upper arm with the +1.0 degree camber upper arm repair kit. Refer to: «UPPER ARM»(ref-658848-S07797210722014092900000) .
  3. Recheck alignment to verify camber change and adjust the toe if necessary. Refer to: «REAR TOE ADJUSTMENT»(ref-658847-S09424700492014092900000) .
  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the front toe.
  2. Steering wheel in straight ahead position.
  3. NOTE: Hold the tie-rod end stationary with a wrench while loosening the nut or damage to the boot can occur. NOTE: Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the inner tie rod is rotated. On both sides.
  4. NOTE: Do not disturb the toe settings while tightening the nut(s). On both sides. Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)
  5. Recheck the toe settings and adjust as necessary.

Scheme 3

Scheme 3: Adjustment
  1. Using alignment equipment and the manufacturer's instructions, measure the rear toe.
  2. NOTE: The cam nut and cam bolt area must be free of foreign material to make sure of correct clamping. NOTE: Clean the general area of the joint to prevent foreign material from entering the joint. Clean the area using only mild liquids. On both sides.
  3. Jounce the vehicle to make sure that the suspension is in its normal, at-rest position.
  4. On both sides. Adjust the toe setting.
  5. On both sides. Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)
  6. Recheck the toe settings and adjust as necessary.
