DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

Correct starter operation relies on correct mounting of the starter to the engine, alignment of the starter ring gear to the flexplate and correct functioning of the starter assembly (internal gears, bearings).

P0615Starter Relay CircuitThis DTC is set when the PCM detects a fault in the starter relay control circuit(s).

DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

When the ignition is in the ON or START mode, the BCM supplies ground for the coil (control) side of the ignition relay. The energized ignition relay supplies battery voltage to the BJB, the PCM and multiple components through the ignition relay output circuit. The BCM sends ignition mode information via the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).

P2531Ignition Switch Run Position Circuit LowThis DTC is set when the PCM detects no voltage on the ignition relay output circuit when the BCM indicates ignition is in the ON or START mode.
P2532Ignition Switch Run Position Circuit HighThis DTC is set when the PCM detects voltage on the ignition relay output circuit when the BCM indicates ignition is in the OFF mode.

DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

When the ignition is turned to the START position or the ignition switch - push button start has been pressed, the PCM receives a voltage signal on the crank detect circuit. When the required inputs have been received, the PCM supplies voltage and ground to the starter relay coil.

P2534Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit LowThis DTC is set when the PCM detects a short to ground on the crank detect circuit. The fault condition is observed as no power in any ignition mode due to BCM fuse 78 (5A) opening after the ignition switch - push button start is pressed (with push button start) or the ignition switch is placed in the START position (without push button start).
P2535Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit HighThis DTC is set when the PCM detects a short to voltage on the crank detect circuit while engine is running.

DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

The wake-up control circuit wakes up the PCM prior to engine cranking. The PCM needs to wake up prior to a crank request so it has time to go through its initialization. The wake-up control circuit is controlled by the BCM. The BCM activates the wake-up control circuit when: the driver door is opened. a key is inserted into the ignition. or when the ignition is in the ON or START position.
