FLOOR JACK
| WARNING | Always position the vehicle on a hard level surface. If the vehicle must be jacked up on a soft surface use load spreading blocks under the jack. Always use a chock at the wheel diagonally opposite the jack. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury. |
| CAUTION | It is not recommended that the vehicle is jacked or lifted on the rear suspension crossmember. If the vehicle must be lifted on the crossmember, make sure that the jack or lift is positioned centrally. Failure to follow these instructions will result in deformation of the closing plate which will weaken the crossmember. |
The vehicle may be lifted by positioning a floor jack under the outer rocker panel and supported by vehicle axle stands. (Scheme 3) The location is identified behind a removable cover (if equipped), a notch in the outer rocker panel indicates where the jack should be positioned. Use a cushioned pad, if possible, to avoid damaging body paint.
HOIST
| CAUTION | Follow hoist manufacturer instructions. DO NOT let hoist or adapters contact suspension, exhaust or steering components. The vehicle must not be lifted on the outer rocker panel. |
When lifting a vehicle with a two-post lift, vehicle levelling pads must be used under the lifting points. It is important that only the correct lifting and support locations are used at all times. (Scheme 3)

CHECKING PROCEDURE
Visually inspect vehicle for signs of abnormal height from front to rear or side to side. Check passenger and luggage compartments for extra heavy items, and remove if present. If no unusual load is present, check for damaged components or non-standard replacement suspension components.
Front
Front camber is not adjustable. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If camber is not within specification, check for damaged suspension components, deteriorated bushings or distorted body mounting points.
Rear
Rear camber is not adjustable. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If camber is not within specification, check for damaged suspension components, deteriorated bushings or distorted body mounting points.
Ensure steering wheel is centered, and maintains centered. Reposition the bellows clamps as necessary. Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the front wheel spindle tie rod is rotated. Loosen the tie-rod end lock nuts. Clean and lubricate tie rod threads. Turn adjusting sleeve or tie rod to adjust toe-in. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . Tighten tie rod end lock nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure bellows clamps are in place.
Raise and support the vehicle. Loosen the rear lower arm adjustment cam to the crossmember nut. (Scheme 4) Tighten the nut to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m). Lower the vehicle. Bounce the vehicle to make sure that the suspension is in its normal resting position. Rotate the bolt and eccentric washer to achieve the required setting. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS. Tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
