Removal and Installation
Note. A new wiper motor assembly comes with the linkage arm installed.

- Remove the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly. For additional information, refer to «WIPER MOUNTING ARM AND PIVOT SHAFT»(ref-372802-S38252057942010093000000) .
- NOTE: Do not remove the wiper motor linkage arm from the wiper motor assembly. If the arm is removed, the wiper arms may not park in the correct location. Remove the windshield wiper motor. Using a flat-blade screwdriver or a suitable tool at the location shown in illustration, separate the wiper motor linkage arm from the wiper pivot arm linkage. Remove the 3 wiper motor bolts. To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the rear wiper pivot arm. For additional information, refer to «WIPER PIVOT ARM - REAR»(ref-372802-S20226851822010093000000) .
- Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, Refer to «INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION»(ref-372787) .
- Remove the 3 rear window wiper motor assembly bolts. To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
- Remove the rear window wiper motor assembly. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Removal
Note. Lifting the wiper arm beyond its maximum angle may result in damage to the wiper arm or the wiper arm heel.
Note. Allowing the wiper arm to contact the glass may result in damage to the glass.
- Hold the wiper arm with one hand close to the wiper arm and wiper blade pivot joint and lift the arm to its maximum angle.
- Hold the primary structure of the wiper blade with the other hand close to the wiper arm and wiper blade pivot joint.
- Tightly grip and push on the wiper arm and wiper blade joint from beneath and separate the blade from the arm.

- Attach the new wiper blade on the wiper arm and press it into place until a snap is heard.

- Open the wiper pivot arm nut cover.
- Remove the wiper pivot arm nut. To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
- NOTE: A suitable 2 jaw puller may be necessary to remove the wiper pivot arm. Remove the wiper pivot arm.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, Refer to «JACKING AND LIFTING»(ref-372753) .
- Remove the RH front fender splash shield. For additional information, Refer to «FRONT END BODY PANELS»(ref-372798) .

NOTE: When installing a new washer pump, be careful not to damage the rubber grommet. NOTE: To prevent spilling washer fluid, drain the washer reservoir before washer pump removal. Remove the washer pump. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector. Disconnect the washer hoses. Remove the windshield washer pump.
- NOTE: Do not operate the washer pump prior to filling the washer reservoir. Failure to follow this instruction may result in premature pump failure.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the washer reservoir with windshield washer fluid.
- Remove the washer reservoir cap from the washer reservoir.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, Refer to «JACKING AND LIFTING»(ref-372753) .
- Remove the RH front fender splash shield. For additional information, Refer to «FRONT END BODY PANELS»(ref-372798) .
- Remove the 2 RH reinforcement bracket-to-fender bolts and the 2 RH reinforcement bracket-to-body bolts. For additional information, refer to the Front End Body Panels Exploded View in «FRONT END BODY PANELS»(ref-372798) .
- Remove the RH fender reinforcement bracket. Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer.
- Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector, washer fluid level sensor electrical connector and RH fog lamp electrical connector, if equipped.

NOTE: To prevent spilling washer fluid, drain the washer reservoir before removal. Disconnect the washer pump hoses.
- Remove the 2 washer reservoir nuts and the washer reservoir bolt. To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Remove the washer reservoir from the vehicle.
- NOTE: Do not operate the washer pump prior to filling the washer reservoir. Failure to follow this instruction may result in premature washer pump failure. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Fill the washer reservoir with washer fluid.
