- Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to «SEAT BACKREST - FRONT, WITH FOLD FLAT»(ref-372788-S34933157292010093000000) .
- Remove the outboard upper recliner cover. Pull at the front and release the clip. Pivot the top of the outboard upper recliner cover back and remove. Pull the fold-flat release strap out through the opening.
- Separate the cables and wire harness from the outboard recliner. Separate the fold-flat cable retainer and cover from the outboard recliner. Separate the side air bag module wire harness pin-type retainer from the outboard recliner. If equipped, separate the manual lumbar cable retainer from the outboard recliner.
- Remove the inboard upper recliner cover. Pull at the front and release the clip. Pivot the top of the inboard upper recliner cover back and remove.
- Separate the fold-flat cable retainer, cover and DVD player wire harness pin-type retainers (if equipped) from the inboard recliner.
- Separate the backrest cover lower J-clips.
- Release the backrest cover clips and open the zippers.
- Position the backrest cover aside and remove the 4 recliner-to-backrest frame bolts (2 shown in illustration). Remove the recliner assembly. To install, tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
- Remove 2 screws from each and the inner recliner covers from the inboard and outboard recliners.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
