Normal Operation
The universal transmitter receives voltage on the vanity mirror power circuit and ground on the vanity mirror ground circuit. When a preprogrammed button on the universal transmitter is pressed, a wireless signal is sent to the receiver unit.
If the device does not operate the garage door, it may be due to an incorrect programming procedure being carried out. Refer to UNIVERSAL TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING to verify the universal transmitter was correctly programmed. This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Universal transmitter
- Receiver unit
