Warning System - Warning Devices: Overview Ford Econoline E150

The warning chime module is incorporated within the instrument cluster. The system components include the following

1. Instrument cluster
2. Safety belt warning switch (warning lamp and repetitive chime)
3. Key-in-ignition switch (repetitive chime)
4. Headlamp switch on warning (repetitive chime)
5. Door ajar switch (warning lamp and single tone)

The following four distinct chime rates are used to indicate warning

1. Safety belt warning chime is one chime per second.
2. Key-in-ignition warning is two chimes per second.
3. Headlamp on warning is four chimes per second.
4. Door ajar warning is a single chime.

For the removal and installation of the instrument cluster, refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER- CONVENTIONAL or INSTRUMENT CLUSTER- NATURAL GAS .
