- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-210181) .
- Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to «INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION»(ref-210204) .
- Remove the engine air cleaner assembly and the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to «INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING»(ref-210150) .
- Remove the accelerator cable splash shield.
- Disconnect the throttle body control linkage. Disconnect the speed control cable. Disconnect the accelerator cable. Remove the accelerator return spring.
- Remove the accelerator cable bracket. Remove the bolts. Remove the accelerator cable bracket.
- Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the throttle body (TB). Remove the four bolts. Remove the TB. Remove and discard the TB gasket.

- Install the throttle body (TB). Install a new TB gasket. Position the TB. Install the four bolts and tighten in two stages. Stage 1: Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
- Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
- Install the accelerator cable bracket. Position the accelerator cable bracket. Install the bolts.
- Connect the throttle body control linkage. Connect the speed control cable. Connect the accelerator cable. Install the accelerator return spring.
- Install the accelerator cable splash shield.
- Install the engine air cleaner assembly and the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to «INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING»(ref-210150) .
- Install the engine cover. For additional information, refer to «INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION»(ref-210204) .
- Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-210181) .
Removal and Installation

- Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to «INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION»(ref-210204) .
- Remove the engine air cleaner and the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to «INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING»(ref-210150) .
- Remove the accelerator splash shield.
- At the right front of the engine, disconnect the 42-pin connector and the two 16-pin connectors.
- Disconnect the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the LH radio ignition interference capacitor and cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the RH radio ignition interference capacitor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the A/C compressor connector.
- Disconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connector.
- From the top of the engine, disconnect the idle air control valve connector.
- Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor connector.
- Disconnect the engine knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.
- Disconnect the ten ignition coil electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the ten fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Remove the four bolts and the RH and LH fuel charge wiring harness retainers.
- Remove the fuel charge wiring harness.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the air cleaner and the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to «INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING»(ref-210150) .
- Disconnect the fuel tube spring lock coupling. For additional information, refer to «FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION-GASOLINE & DIESEL»(ref-210160) .
- Disconnect the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor electrical connector and vacuum hose.
- Disconnect the ten fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve electrical connector and the tube from the RH valve cover.
- Remove the retainers from the fuel charging wiring harness and position the wiring harness away from the fuel injection supply manifold.
- Remove the fuel injection supply manifold support bracket bolts.
- Remove the four retaining bolts and the fuel injection supply manifold.
- Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel injection supply manifold.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seals from each fuel injector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
