TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
The electronic engine controls consist of the following components
- Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor (located on the left side of the engine)
- PCM (located on the left side of the bulkhead)
- Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) (located on the left inner fender well)
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor (located on the engine front cover)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor (located on the cowl)
- Intake Air Temperature 2 (IAT2) sensor (located on the intake manifold)
- Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor
- Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) sensor (located in the oil cooler)
- Exhaust Pressure (EP) sensor (located on the left valve cover)
- Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor (located on the right side of the engine)
- Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch (located in the oil cooler)
- Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor (located under the steering column)
- Turbocharger variable vane hydraulic control valve (located on the turbocharger)
- Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor (located on the Air Cleaner (ACL))

Removal and Installation
Note. The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor is not serviced separately.
Note. Install a new accelerator pedal assembly if the APP sensor requires service.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the 2 screws from the Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Remove the instrument panel steering column cover.
- Disconnect the Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor from the mounting and position out.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the BARO sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & LIFTING»(/ford/cutaway-e350-super-duty/2008-2012/remont/hoistjack/#jacking-lifting-e-series) .
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt, the CMP sensor and discard the O-ring seal. To install, tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new O-ring seal.

- Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt, the CKP sensor and discard the O-ring seal. To install, tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new O-ring seal.

- Remove the 6 pushpin retainers and the upper air deflector.
- Remove the 4 power steering reservoir bracket bolts.
- Remove the power steering fluid indicator and 3 bolts. Remove the power steering reservoir bracket. Install the power steering indicator and position aside.
- Disconnect the coolant hoses from the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the ACL outlet pipe.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC tube.
- Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) electrical connector.
- Remove the ECT sensor and discard the O-ring seal.

- Using a new O-ring seal, install the ECT sensor. Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
- Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector.
- Position the CAC tube and tighten the clamps. Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Position the ACL outlet pipe and tighten the clamps.
- Connect the coolant hoses to the ACL outlet pipe.
- Position the power steering reservoir bracket and install the power steering fluid indicator and the 3 bolts.
- Install the 4 power steering reservoir bracket bolts.
- Position the upper air deflector and install the 6 pushpin retainers.
- Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to «ENGINE COOLING»(/ford/cutaway-e350-super-duty/2008-2012/remont/cooling-system-mechanical/#engine-cooling-system-e-series) .

- Remove the bolt and position the ground wire aside. Disconnect the electrical connector pushpin.
- Remove the bolt and position the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) assembly aside.
- Remove the 6 pushpin retainers and the upper air deflector.
- Remove the 4 power steering reservoir bracket bolts.
- Remove the 3 bolts and position the wiring aside.
- Remove the 3 bolts for the CAC tube and the oil fill tube.
- Disconnect and remove the oil fill tube at the valve cover.
- Loosen the CAC tube clamps. To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Remove the 2 nuts, CAC tube, oil fill tube and bracket.
- Remove the bolt for the turbocharger oil feed tube. To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the 2 bolts and the turbocharger oil tube. Discard the turbocharger oil tube gasket and O-ring seal. To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
- Remove the EOP switch. To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new gasket and O-ring seal on the turbocharger oil feed tube.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the 3 bolts and position the degas bottle aside. To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Disconnect the Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) electrical connectors.
- Remove the 4 bolts and the FICM . To install, tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. If the fuel injector control module was replaced, restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration steps of the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedure. - Loosen the clamps and remove the ACL outlet pipe.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC tube. To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
- Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature 2 (IAT2) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the IAT2 sensor. To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

Installation
- Install the PCM and the bolt. Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Connect the PCM electrical connectors and latch.
- Position the ACL outlet pipe and tighten the clamps.
- Connect the coolant hoses to the ACL outlet pipe.
- Position the power steering reservoir bracket and install the power steering indicator. Install the 3 bolts.
- Install the 4 power steering reservoir bracket bolts.
- Position the upper air deflector and install the 6 pushpin retainers.
- Restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration restore steps of the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedure. For additional information, refer to «MODULE CONFIGURATION»(/ford/cutaway-e350-super-duty/2008-2012/remont/communication-devices/#module-configuration-system-e-series) .
