TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

There are three audio systems available

  1. Alpine premium system
  2. Alpine Audiophile system (export only)
  3. The M100 ULC (police/fleet only)

The Alpine Audiophile System consists of

  1. Two Audiophile front door speakers with enclosures.
  2. Two Audiophile package tray speakers with enclosures.

The M100 ULC and the Alpine premium audio systems consist of

  1. Two premium front door radio speakers.
  2. Two premium package tray speakers.

The Alpine systems can be equipped with

  1. An optional trunk mounted 6-disc digital audio compact disc player.

The Marauder audio system consists of

  1. Rear shelf mounted 6.5-inch subwoofer with 100 watt amplifier (optional).
  2. Two premium front door speakers.
  3. Two premium rear shelf speakers.
  4. Alpine dual media audio unit.

Refer to the owner literature for operating instructions.

The audio controls on the steering wheel allow the driver to control volume, mode, and memory presets.

The radio suppression equipment reduces interference transmitted through the radio speakers by the engine ignition and electrical system.

  1. Using the special tool, pull the audio unit out.
  2. Remove the audio unit. Disconnect the connectors and the antenna lead-in cable.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(/ford/crown-victoria/ii-1997-2011/remont/charging-system/#battery-mounting-and-cables) .
  2. Remove the steering wheel audio controls and disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. If equipped, position the luggage compartment cover aside.
  2. Remove the digital audio compact disc changer. Remove the bolt. Remove the nuts. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Remove the digital audio compact disc changer brackets. Remove the 6 bolts and 2 brackets.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
