Check valve body and torque converter.

Torque Converter Clutch Always Engaged

Check valve body, oil pump assembly, torque converter and transaxle case.

VEHICLE SHIFT SPEEDS (CONTOUR & MYSTIQUE)

TURBINE TORQUE CHECK

Install End Play Checking Tool (T81P-7902-D) with sleeve into turbine splines in converter. Using torque wrench, measure turbine turning torque. Replace converter if torque exceeds 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).
