- Turn key switch off. Remove tape from timer reset hole. Lightly push a Phillips screwdriver into the hole marked "RESET". With light pressure on screwdriver. Turn key switch to "RUN" position.
- Light should stay on while screwdriver is pressed down. Hold screwdriver down for approximately 5 seconds. Remove screwdriver. Light should go out within 2 seconds. If not, repeat steps 1) and 2).
- Cycle ignition switch from "OFF" to "ON" position. Light should glow for 2 to 5 seconds. This verifies proper reset procedure has been completed.
Note. Some models are equipped with a non-resettable control unit. Replace it with a re-settable type.
Note. On some vehicles, the Service Interval Light will come on after 5000-7000 miles. To reset, depress both Trip and Trip Reset buttons. Light will go out and 3 beeps will be heard.
