Reset Procedure Ford Bronco II I

  1. Turn key switch off. Remove tape from timer reset hole. Lightly push a Phillips screwdriver into the hole marked "RESET". With light pressure on screwdriver. Turn key switch to "RUN" position.
  2. Light should stay on while screwdriver is pressed down. Hold screwdriver down for approximately 5 seconds. Remove screwdriver. Light should go out within 2 seconds. If not, repeat steps 1) and 2).
  3. Cycle ignition switch from "OFF" to "ON" position. Light should glow for 2 to 5 seconds. This verifies proper reset procedure has been completed.

Note. Some models are equipped with a non-resettable control unit. Replace it with a re-settable type.

Note. On some vehicles, the Service Interval Light will come on after 5000-7000 miles. To reset, depress both Trip and Trip Reset buttons. Light will go out and 3 beeps will be heard.
