POWER MIRROR SWITCH TEST

Remove power mirror switch from mounting. Disconnect wiring harness at switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between power mirror switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST. (Scheme 2) If results differ from table, replace switch.

POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST

Using a trim stick, remove power mirror switch from mounting. Disconnect wire connector. Using 2 jumper wires, connect one to a 12-volt source and the other to a good ground. If tests do not agree with POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST, check for open or shorted circuit, or replace mirror assembly as necessary. (Scheme 3)
