Keyless Entry System - Remote: Other Eagle Vision I

TRANSMITTER

  1. Remove upper center bezel from instrument panel and locate traction control Black connector. (Scheme 27) Disconnect connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Ground connector terminal No. 4. (Scheme 28) Door locks will lock and unlock to indicate that system is ready to receive codes. Trunk solenoid will not cycle at this time. Press any button on transmitter to set code. Locks will cycle to confirm programming.
  3. If a second transmitter is used, it must be set at this time. Press any button on second transmitter and wait for locks to cycle. Disconnect program line from ground. This returns system to normal operation. Replace upper center bezel to instrument panel.

No Response From Module When Programming New Receiver

  1. Check batteries in transmitters. Operate power door lock switches to ensure relays and motors are functioning.
  2. Using a voltmeter, check Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Black connector terminal No. 8 for battery voltage. (Scheme 29) If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
  3. Check fuse No. 14 at junction block for battery voltage. (Scheme 30) Junction block is located behind end cover, on left side of instrument panel. If battery voltage does not exist, repair wiring as necessary. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
  4. Check RKE Blue connector terminal No. 2 for ignition voltage. If ignition voltage does not exist, check fuse No. 13 at junction block. If ignition voltage is exists, go to next step.
  5. Using an ohmmeter, check RKE Black connector terminal No. 4 for ground. If ground does not exist, repair ground circuit as necessary. If ground exists, go to next step.
  6. Gain access to traction control switch. (Scheme 27) Check traction control switch connector terminal No. 4 and RKE Black connector terminal No. 5. for ground. (Scheme 28)and (Scheme 29). If ground does not exist, repair as necessary. If ground exists, replace RKE module.

All Doors Lock Except Driver's

Ensure driver's door is in UNLOCKED position. Using a voltmeter, check voltage on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module Black connector terminal No. 3. (Scheme 29) Press RKE transmitter unlock button. Battery voltage should exist for one second. If voltage does not test as specified, replace RKE module. If voltage tests as specified, repair circuit between RKE module and driver's door motor.

All Doors Do Not Unlock With Transmitter

Ensure driver's door is in UNLOCKED position. Using a voltmeter, check voltage on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module Black connector terminal No. 3. (Scheme 29) Press RKE transmitter unlock button once. If voltage does not pulse, replace RKE module. If voltage pulses, repair circuit between RKE module and door lock motor.

All Doors Do Not Lock With Transmitter

Ensure driver's door is in UNLOCKED position. Using a voltmeter, check voltage on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module Black connector terminal No. 6. (Scheme 29) Press RKE transmitter lock button several times. If voltage does not pulse, replace RKE module. If voltage pulses, repair circuit to unlock relay.

Only Driver's Door Locks

Ensure driver's door is in UNLOCKED position. Using a voltmeter, check voltage on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module Black connector terminal No. 1. (Scheme 29) Press RKE transmitter unlock button twice within 5 seconds. If no voltage exists, replace RKE module. If voltage exists, repair circuit between RKE module and unlock relay.

Doors Lock, But Horn Does Not Chirp

  1. Press horn and listen for chirp. If there is no chirp, check horn relay and horns. (Scheme 30) Repair circuit or components as necessary. If horn chirps, go to next step.
  2. Using a voltmeter, check for voltage on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Black connector terminal No. 7. Press RKE transmitter door lock button. If voltage does not pulse, replace RKE module. If voltage pulses, repair circuit as necessary.

Transmitter Will Not Lock Or Unlock

Remove batteries from transmitter. Check voltage across both batteries. If there is not 6 volts, replace batteries.

Transmitter Will Not Open Trunk Lid

  1. Ensure trunk latch mechanism operates by activating trunk release switch in glove box. If latch does not operate, repair as necessary. If latch operates, go to next step.
  2. Using a voltmeter, check voltage on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module Black connector terminal No. 2. (Scheme 29) Press transmitter trunk release button. If voltage does not pulse, replace RKE module. If voltage pulses, repair circuit to trunk release solenoid.
