Camber is preset and cannot be adjusted. Check camber. See appropriate table under ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If camber is not within specification, replace damaged or bent parts.
Montero, Pickup & Ram-50
- Check camber. See appropriate table under «ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-46627-S29965263492001011800000). If camber is not within specification, remove shock absorber mounting nut and lock nut. CAUTION: Difference in shim thickness between front and rear must not exceed.16" (4.0 mm). DO NOT use more than 3 shims at one location.
- Compress shock absorber, and loosen upper arm mounting bolts and nuts. Adjust camber by increasing or decreasing shims between upper arm shaft and crossmember. (Scheme 1)
Scheme 1
Stealth & 3000GT
Check camber. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS (STEALTH & 3000GT). If camber is not within specification, loosen eccentric cam nut. Rotate eccentric cam bolt to obtain correct camber. (Scheme 2) Each marking represents a change of 1/8-1/4 degree of camber.

Except Pickup & Ram-50

Pickup & Ram-50
- Check caster. See «ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS (PICKUP & RAM-50)»(ref-46627-S27059296222001011800000). If caster is not within specification, remove shock absorber mounting nut and lock nut. Front
Check front toe-in. See appropriate table under ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If front toe-in is not within specification, remove clips. Turn tie rods or turn buckles same amount, but in opposite directions. Recheck front toe-in.
Rear (Except Stealth & 3000GT)
Check rear toe-in. See appropriate table under ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If rear toe-in is not within specification, replace damaged or bent parts.
Rear (Stealth 2WD & 3000GT 2WD)
Check rear toe-in. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS (STEALTH & 3000GT). If rear toe-in is not within specification, loosen both assist link eccentric cam nuts. Turn assist link eccentric cam bolts equal amount to obtain correct rear toe-in. (Scheme 3)
Rear (Stealth AWD & 3000GT AWD)
| CAUTION | For vehicles with Four Wheel Steering (4WS) make adjustments with the 4WS tie rod end disconnected from the trailing arm. |
Check rear toe-in. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS (STEALTH & 3000GT) . If rear toe-in is not within specification, turn trailing arm mounting bolts on the crossmember side on both sides the same amount.
Note. On left wheel, turning bolt clockwise results in toe-in. On right wheel, turning bolt clockwise results in toe-out.
The difference between right and left wheels should be 3 mm or less. One graduation changes toe by approximately 2 mm. (Scheme 4)
