DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
Analog instrument cluster is an electro-mechanical module which receives most of its information from Body Control Module (BCM) via Chrysler Collision Detection (CCD) bus. Instrument cluster contains speedometer/tachometer and fuel/temperature gauge assemblies. Speedometer contains a removable odometer and transmission range indicator (A/T). Various indicator lights are used to warn of system malfunctions. A printed circuit board provides power to gauges and indicator lights.
Gauges are magnetic air-core type. When ignition is off, gauge pointers should rest at or below low graduation. Gauge readings are accurate only when ignition switch is in ON position.
