Scheme 2

Scheme 2
  1. Remove rear side trim and left quarter trim. See «REAR SIDE & QUARTER TRIMS»(ref-142142-S34726101432003041100000).
  2. Remove rear console assembly. See «FLOOR CONSOLE»(ref-142142-S27767688652003041100000).
  3. Remove radio and tape player. See «RADIO & TAPE PLAYER»(ref-142142-S12881793342003041100000).
  4. Remove antenna feeder cable (4) and motor antenna connection.Remove rear seat cushion (6) by raising with lever pulled. (Scheme 1) (Scheme 2)
  5. Remove rear seatback (7). Remove inner seat belt (8). Remove console left side cover (9). (Scheme 1)
  6. Remove antenna feeder cable (10). (Scheme 1)
  7. For feeder cable installation, reverse removal procedures.
  8. To install seat cushion, securely fit attachment wire of seat cushion under seatback. Pass inner seat belt buckles through cushion. securely fit lock plated of seat cushion into holes in floor. (Scheme 3)

Scheme 3

Scheme 3
  1. Remove left rear side trim. See «REAR SIDE & QUARTER TRIMS»(ref-142142-S34726101432003041100000).
  2. Remove ring nut (1). Remove base (2). (Scheme 1)
  3. Remove antenna pole (3). See «ANTENNA POLE»(ref-142142-S36016196312002071900000). Remove antenna feeder cable and motor antenna connection (4). (Scheme 1) See «ANTENNA FEEDER CABLE»(ref-142142-S40389052152002071900000).
  4. Remove motor antenna (5). (Scheme 1)

Scheme 7

Scheme 7
  1. Remove ring nut. (Scheme 4)
  2. Set radio switch to ON. After antenna pole has extended, remove antenna pole and rack cable as an assembly. (Scheme 5)
  3. Extend antenna pole up to its furthest point. If motor end of rack cable is bent, straighten it.
  4. Force rack cable into motor assembly with tooth side of rack cable toward luggage compartment. (Scheme 6)
  5. Turn tooth side of rack cable toward rear of vehicle (90 degrees clockwise) to bring rack cable into mesh with motor gear. (Scheme 7)
  6. Lightly pull rack cable. If it comes out with resistance, it means that rack cable is not in mesh with motor gear. Recheck that rack cable is not bent before repeating steps 2 and 3.
  7. With antenna pole upright and radio switch OFF, take up rack cable. As rack cable is taken up, insert antenna pole (3) toward motor antenna. (Scheme 1)
  8. After ring nut has been tightened, set radio switch to ON and OFF to check operation of antenna pole.
