Removal Dodge Pickup R1500

Removal

  1. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
  2. Remove the disc brake caliper. See «CALIPER»(/dodge/pickup-r1500/1997-2012/remont/mechanical-hydraulic/#disc-brakes__caliper).
  3. Remove the caliper adapter. See «ADAPTER»(/dodge/pickup-r1500/1997-2012/remont/mechanical-hydraulic/#disc-brakes).
  4. Remove the rotor. See «ROTOR»(/dodge/pickup-r1500/1997-2012/remont/mechanical-hydraulic/#disc-brakes).
  5. Remove the axle shaft. See appropriate AXLE SHAFTS article in DRIVELINE/AXLES.
  6. Remove the parking brake shoes. See «PARKING BRAKE SHOES»(/dodge/pickup-r1500/1997-2012/remont/mechanical-hydraulic/#disc-brakes).
  7. Remove the parking brake cable from the brake lever.
  8. Remove the bolts attaching the support plate to the axle and remove the support plate. (Scheme 34)
  9. Remove the caliper adapter mount from the axle housing. (Scheme 15)
