Removal & Installation (2-Door)
- Roll door glass down. Remove door pull cup. While pulling door release handle, remove screw securing trim panel to door from behind inside door release handle.
- Disengage hidden clips securing trim panel to door from around perimeter of panel. Tilt trim panel outward to clear locator pins on backside of trim panel. Disengage trim panel from retainer channel at top of door.
- Move trim panel away from door and disengage clip holding door latch linkage to back of inside door handle. Separate latch rod from handle. Disconnect harness connectors for power door lock switch, mirror switch and power window switch. Remove trim panel from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (4-Door)
- Remove door pull cup. While pulling door release handle, remove screw securing trim panel to door from behind inside door release handle. Disengage hidden clips securing trim panel to door from around perimeter of panel.
- Tilt trim panel outward to clear locator pins on backside of trim panel. Disengage trim panel from retainer channel at top of door. Move trim panel away from door and disengage clip holding door latch linkage to back of inside door handle. Separate latch rod from handle.
- Disconnect harness connectors for power door lock switch, mirror switch and power window switch. Remove trim panel from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal (2-Door)
Raise window to full-up position, if possible. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL. Remove window regulator. Disconnect wiring connector from power window motor. Using a "C" clamp, clamp sector gear to regulator mounting plate to prevent regulator movement. (Scheme 3) Remove 3 power window motor mounting bolts. Remove motor from regulator.
Installation
Install motor on regulator so that it engages sector gear teeth. Rotate motor as necessary to align 3 motor mounting bolts. Tighten motor mounting bolts to 50-70 INCH lbs. (5.6-8.0 N.m). Install regulator assembly. Using switch, test window motor operation.
Removal (4-Door)
- Place window in middle position. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL. Disconnect harness connector. Remove 3 nuts attaching window regulator motor/housing to door inner panel.
- Turn motor/housing to gain access to 3 nuts attaching motor to housing. Unbolt motor from housing. Remove motor, taking care not to pull cable drum from housing. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Scheme 3
Removal & Installation
Insert flat tool in slot on bottom of switch bezel. Pry bezel from door trim panel. Disconnect harness connector. Remove switch by releasing tabs from bezel. To install, reverse removal procedure.
