TROUBLE SHOOTING
- Check 30-amp circuit behind fuse block.
- Check 40-amp fuse in power distribution center cavity No. 2.
- Check for good ground at instrument panel left center support.
MOTOR TEST
- Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using jumper wires, connect battery positive and negative leads to motor terminals. Window should move up or down. Reverse jumper wires. Window should move in opposite direction.
- If window does not move, remove motor. See WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If motor operates while disconnected, check window/regulator for freedom of movement.
- Remove screws holding glass lift plate to regulator. Slide window up and down by hand to ensure it moves freely in glass channels. If window slides freely, check regulator assembly. Repair window/regulator as necessary.
WINDOW SWITCH TEST
Remove power window switch. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between appropriate switch terminals. See appropriate WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY table. (Scheme 1)and (Scheme 2). If continuity is not as specified, replace power window switch.
