SENSOR - MAP - 5.7L
- Clean MAP sensor mounting hole at intake manifold.
- Check MAP sensor o-ring seal for cuts or tears.
- Position sensor (3) into intake manifold.
- Rotate sensor 1/4 turn clockwise for installation.
- Connect electrical connector (2) to sensor (3).
- Clean MAP sensor mounting hole at rear of intake manifold.
- Check MAP sensor o-ring seal (2) for cuts or tears.
- Position sensor (1) into intake manifold.
- Install two sensor mounting bolts (3).
- Connect electrical connector to sensor.

Scheme 168: SENSOR - OXYGEN - 2.7L
The engines uses two heated oxygen sensors, one in each exhaust manifold.
| CAUTION | Never apply any type of grease to the oxygen sensor electrical connector, or attempt any soldering of the sensor wiring harness. |
| WARNING | The exhaust manifold, exhaust pipes and catalytic converter become very hot during engine operation. Allow engine to cool before removing oxygen sensor. |
| CAUTION | When disconnecting sensor electrical connector, do not pull directly on wire going into sensor. |
- Remove the negative battery cable.
- Raise vehicle and support.
- Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor electrical connector.
- Use a socket such as Snap-On YA8875 or a crow foot wrench to remove oxygen sensor.
