DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
Intermittent wiper system is standard. At speeds greater than 10 MPH, delay mode range is 1/2-18 seconds. At speeds less than 10 MPH, delay mode doubles to 1-36 seconds. Wiper system completes wipe cycle when wiper/washer switch is turned off. Delay is controlled by a variable resistor in wiper/washer switch and 2 relays. Intermittent wiper relay turns wipers on and off. High/low wiper relay changes wiper speed. Blades park in lowest portion of wipe pattern. Intermittent wiper function is controlled by Body Control Module (BCM) located in passenger compartment, behind right kick panel. (Scheme 1)
Windshield washer system can be activated in OFF position of wiper control switch. Holding wash button depressed will operate wipers and washer motor continuously until washer button is released. Releasing button will stop washer pump, but wipers continue to cycle 2-3 times before wipers park and module turns off.

Wiper Motor Switches Between Low & High Speed Operation
Check for intermittent short in Violet wire between BCM and HIGH/LOW wiper relay. Check for defective BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULES - CONCORDE, INTREPID, LHS & 300M article.
