Possible Causes
STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE (SCCM)
REAR WASHER SWITCH STUCK

Continuously with the ignition on.

The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) senses that the Horn Switch is pressed for greater than 45 seconds.

Possible Causes
HORN SWITCH
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)

B23A1-2A-FLASH TO PASS/OPTICAL HORN SWITCH-STUCK

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article .

With the ignition on.

The SCCM detects the Flash to Pass/Optical Horn Switch is active for greater than 20 seconds.

Possible Causes
STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE (SCCM)
FLASH TO PASS/OPTICAL HORN SWITCH STUCK

Continuously with the ignition on.

If the voltage to the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) is below 10 volts for more than 15 seconds.

Possible Causes
RELATED DTCS PRESENT IN PCM
LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE
(A929) FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
(Z911) GROUND CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE (SCCM)

Continuously.

If the voltage to the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) is above 16 volts for more than 15 seconds.

Possible Causes
RELATED DTC(S) PRESENT IN THE PCM
HIGH BATTERY VOLTAGE
STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE (SCCM)

Continuously with the ignition on.

The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) has detected that a non-permissable combination has occurred in the Right Steering Wheel Switch (Speed Control Switch).

Possible Causes
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)
STEERING WHEEL WIRING HARNESS / CONNECTORS

Continuously with the ignition on.

Fault signifies when the switch voltage is shorted low.

Possible Causes
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)
STEERING WHEEL WIRING HARNESS / CONNECTORS

Continuously with the ignition on.

Fault signifies when the switch voltage is shorted high.

Possible Causes
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)
STEERING WHEEL WIRING HARNESS / CONNECTORS

Continuously with the ignition on.

The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) has detected that a non-permissable combination has occurred in the Speed Control Switch.

Possible Causes
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)
STEERING WHEEL WIRING HARNESS / CONNECTORS
STEERING COLUMN CONTROL MODULE (SCCM)

Continuously with the ignition on.

The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) has detected that a non-permissable combination has occurred in the Speed Control Switch.

Possible Causes
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)
STEERING WHEEL WIRING HARNESS / CONNECTORS

Continuously with the ignition on.

Fault signifies when the switch voltage is shorted low.

Possible Causes
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)
STEERING WHEEL WIRING HARNESS / CONNECTORS

Continuously with the ignition on.

Fault signifies when the switch voltage is shorted high.

Possible Causes
RIGHT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH (SPEED CONTROL SWITCH)
STEERING WHEEL WIRING HARNESS / CONNECTORS

Continuously with the ignition on.

Fault signifies any Speed Control Switch is held/stuck for greater than 120 seconds.

Possible Causes
