DIAGNOSTIC TEST
- TEST FOR ANY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs) PRESENT Turn the ignition on. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs. Try to operate the Driver Window up and down several times. Wait 30 seconds. With the scan tool, read the DTCs. Does the scan tool display any Power Window DTCs? No Go To 2 . Yes Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to «DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING»(ref-489364-S39429324512012072600000) .
- WINDOW MUST DROP NOTE: The door must be completely closed when starting this step. Sit in the driver seat and close the door. Lower the window part of the way down. Run the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds. Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds. Raise the window to the full up position. Open the door while observing the window, Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened? No Go To 4 . Yes Go To 3 .
- WINDOW MUST RISE Close the door and observe the window. Did the window rise to the full up position when the door was closed? No Go To 4 . Yes Test complete. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000) .
- DENORMALIZE ROUTINE With the scan tool in "Miscellaneous Functions", perform the "Denormalize Window Command". Sit in the driver seat and close the door. Lower the window part of the way down. Run the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds. Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds. Raise the window to the full up position. Open the door and then close the door while observing the window, Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened and rise to the full up position when the door was closed? No Replace the Driver Door Module in accordance with the Service Information. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000) . Yes Test complete. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000) .

Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds. Raise the window to the full up position. Lower the passenger window part of the way down. Run the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds. Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds. Raise the window to the full up position. Open the passenger door and then close the door while observing the window, Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened and rise to the full up position when the door was closed? No Replace the Passenger Door Module in accordance with the Service Information. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000) . Yes Test complete. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000) .

Yes Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure related to power windows. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000).
- WINDOW HALL SENSOR A AND SENSOR B SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN Disconnect the appropriate Door Module C2 connector. Disconnect the appropriate Window Motor connector. Measure the resistance of the Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit between the Motor connector and the Module C2 connector ( (Scheme 1)schematic for connector cavity numbers). Measure the resistance of the Window Hall Sensor B Signal circuit between the Motor connector and the Door Module C2 connector. Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms on both Signal circuits? No Repair the Window Hall Sensor Signal circuit(s) for opens. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000). Yes Replace the Window Motor in accordance with the Service Information. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-489354-S40173642412012072600000).
