AUTOMATIC DAY/NIGHT INSIDE MIRROR
- Turn ignition switch to ON position with transmission in Neutral or Park. Place mirror switch in ON position (switch LED illuminated). Cover forward-facing sensor with a dark cloth or tape to exclude any ambient light. (Scheme 3)
- Shine a light into rear-facing sensor. Observe whether or not mirror darkens. With mirror darkened, place transmission in Reverse. Mirror should return to normal. If conditions of steps 1) and 2) are met, mirror is operating correctly. If conditions are not met, go to next step.
- Test voltage at 3-way harness connector. With ignition switch in RUN position, pin No. 1 should have battery voltage, pin No. 3 should have battery voltage with transmission in Reverse, and pin No. 3 should have continuity to ground. - If circuits are okay, replace mirror. If circuits are not okay, check wiring harness. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-123823-S14166420042001092700000).
