OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT

Indicates low oil pressure but does not indicated amount of oil in the engine. Light should come on momentarily when engine is started.

CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT

If this light comes on and remains on while driving, it indicates a potential engine control problem and the need for system service. Prolonged driving without having the system checked could cause damage to the emission control system. It could also affect fuel economy and driveability.

BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

With ignition key in ON position and parking brake applied, light should illuminate and should go off when engine is started. Failure of either half of the dual brake system is indicated if light is illuminated when brake pedal is depressed. It will remain lit until cause is corrected. If brake failure is indicated immediate repair is necessary. Prolonged driving under this condition is dangerous.

ANTI-LOCK LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)

This light illuminates if a malfunction in the anti-lock braking system occurs. It will also illuminate when ignition key is turned to ON position, but should go out after engine starts. If light remains lit after engine is started, it indicates that only the normal brake system, not the anti-lock braking system, is functioning.

AIR BAG LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)

Light is activated and remains on for 6-8 seconds as a bulb check when ignition switch is first turned ON. If bulb is not illuminated during starting, have the bulb replaced. If light stays on, or comes on while driving, have the system checked by an authorized dealer.

MAINTENANCE REQUIRED LIGHT

This light is designed to come on as a reminder that scheduled maintenance (or recommended maintenance on California vehicles) should be performed. Components covered by this light are the EGR system, PCV valve, oxygen sensor, delay valves, vacuum controlled orifice, tank vapor valve, and bi-level purge check valves. Light will remain on continuously when ignition key is in the ON position, until the component is serviced and light is reset.
