UPDATE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

1. VIN must be updated with the sales code of the added accessory in order to enable system functionality. Using the DealerCONNECT website and the wiTECH diagnostic application, complete the vehicle configuration.
2. Log on to https://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.
3. In the "Vehicle Option" screen under the "Global Claims System" category in the "Service" tab, enter the vehicle VIN, four digit pin number obtained from the dealership parts department and add sales code(s) noted below as a "Dealer Installed Option". RHB (AM/FM/DVD/HDD with SDARS) RSC (Satellite)
4. Confirm that the new sales code has been successfully added to the VIN.
5. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps form the Initial Start Up Screen: Select the "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES" tab Select "RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION" Select the "Run Diagnostic" button Select "CONTINUE" Verify that the vehicle VIN number is correct Once verified, select the "Correct VIN" button Note On-Screen instructions and select the "Close" button

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Pull the parking brake lever (5) to the upright position.
3. Open the console door and remove the console to rear floor bracket (3) retaining screws (1).
4. Carefully pry up the front of the center console until the retainers (1) disengage from the front floor bracket (6).
5. Disconnect the center console electrical connector (2) from the instrument panel electrical connector (4).
6. Remove the center console from the vehicle.
7. Automatic transmission equipped vehicles; Pull up on the shifter knob (1) and remove. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, work around the perimeter of the shifter bezel (2) and remove bezel from the front console shifter housing (3). Manual transmission equipped vehicles; Pull up on the shifter knob (3) and remove. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, work around the bottom perimeter of the shifter boot and separate the boot from the shifter bezel. Slide the shifter boot (2) off the shifter shaft (5) and remove. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, work around the perimeter of the shifter bezel (1) and remove bezel from the front console shifter housing (4).
8. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, release the retaining clips and separate the accessory switch bank assembly (1) from the console.
9. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) from the accessory switch bank assembly and remove.
10. Remove the front console shifter housing retaining screws (1) and remove the housing (2).
11. Open the center storage bin door (1) located on the top of the instrument panel.
12. Remove the storage bin screw (2).
13. Remove the center bezel lower screws (2).
14. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, work around the perimeter of the center bezel releasing the retaining clips (1) and separate the bezel from the instrument panel.
15. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the HVAC control head and remove the center bezel from the vehicle.
16. Remove the four radio mounting screws (1). CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
17. Pull the radio out far enough to access the back of the radio.
18. Disconnect the AM/FM antenna (2) and electrical connectors (1).
19. If equipped, disconnect the USB connectors (3).
20. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
21. Position the navigation antenna through the radio opening to the highest possible location within the instrument panel, using the adhesive tape included in the radio kit, attach the antenna so it does not interfere with any other components.
22. Position the new radio to the instrument panel.
23. Connect the AM/FM antenna (2) and electrical connectors (1).
24. Connect the navigation antenna (3).
25. If equipped, connect the USB connectors (4).
26. Position the radio into the instrument panel.
27. Install and tighten the radio mounting screws.
28. Position the center bezel to the instrument panel.
29. Connect the HVAC control head electrical connectors (1).
30. Position the center bezel to the instrument panel, press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the bezel to engage the retaining clips (1).
31. Install the lower retaining screws (2).
32. Install the storage bin retaining screw (2).
33. Position the front console shifter housing (2) and install the retaining screws (1).
34. Position the accessory switch bank assembly to the front console shifter housing and connect the electrical connectors (2).
35. Press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the accessory switch bank assembly (1) and engage the retaining clips.
36. Automatic transmission equipped vehicles; Position the shifter bezel (2) to the front console shifter housing (3), press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the shifter bezel and engage the retaining clips. Place the shifter knob (1) onto the shifter shaft, press down firmly until the shifter knob is locked into position. Lightly pull up on the shifter knob (1) to verify knob is properly locked into position. Manual transmission equipped vehicles; Position the shifter bezel (1) to the front console shifter housing (4), press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the shifter bezel and engage the retaining clips. Slide the shifter boot (2) over shifter shaft (5). Press firmly and evenly around the bottom perimeter of the shifter boot (2) until the boot is completely locked into the shifter bezel. Place the shifter knob (1) onto the shifter shaft, press down firmly until the shifter knob is locked into position. Lightly pull up on the shifter knob (1) to verify knob is properly locked into position.
37. Ensure the parking brake lever (5) is in the upright position.
38. Position the center console into the vehicle.
39. Connect the center console electrical connector (2) to the instrument panel electrical connector (4).
40. Press firmly and evenly on the front of the center console until the retainers (1) are engaged into the front floor bracket (6).
41. Open the console door and install the console to rear floor bracket (3) retaining screws (1).
42. Release the parking brake lever (5) to the down position.
43. Connect the negative battery cable.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear tonneau cover, if equipped.
3. Remove the cargo floor.
4. Remove the left cargo net D-ring, if equipped.
5. Remove the lift gate opening scuff plate (1).
6. Remove the seat cushion mounting bolts (2).
7. Lift the front of the cushion (3) up and remove the cushion from under the seat back.
8. Remove the belt buckle bolt (2) and the buckle (1).
9. Remove the floor bracket or recliner bolts (4).
10. Fold the seats forward.
11. Remove the nut (5) and bolts (6) and remove the 40% seat back (4).
12. Using special tool (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick), pry off the lower B-pillar trim.
13. Remove from vehicle.
14. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick), pry up the scuff plate.
15. Remove the scuff plate from vehicle.
16. Remove the left side lower cowl trim panel.
17. Pull up on the front corner of the quarter trim and release the clip.
18. Release the remaining clips and remove the left quarter panel trim from vehicle.
19. Remove the lower steering column cover.
20. Pull up on shifter knob (1) and remove.
21. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, pry up on bezel (2) and remove from shifter pod (3).
22. Remove the two screws (1).
23. Pull on side of housing (1) and unsnap housing tabs.
24. Disconnect console housing wire connector (2) and instrument panel connector (3).
25. Remove from vehicle.
26. Mount the router to the left quarter trim panel with the provided materials.
27. Cut a small opening in the quarter trim panel and route the Wi-Fi router connect through the opening.
28. Place the quarter trim panel into position, but do not engage the clip retainers at this time.
29. Connect the harness to the Wi-Fi router connect and route the cable forward through the vehicle while taping to the body electrical harness.
30. Install the quarter trim panel to the vehicle, ensuring the clip retainers engage.
31. Route the antenna cable along the left side of the vehicle, across the lower instrument panel brace and over to the shifter housing at the cigarette lighter connector, securing along the way and cut to the proper length.
32. Locate the cigarette lighter outlet wiring harness.
33. Cut each wire and remove 13 mm (0.5 in.) of insulation from each wire that needs to be soldered/spliced.
34. Place a piece of supplied adhesive lined heat shrink tubing on one side of each cut wire. Insure the tubing will be long enough to cover and seal the entire soldered area.
35. Place the strands of the power side wires overlapping each other inside of the splice clip (1).
36. Using crimping tool (1), Mopar® p/n 05019912AA or equivalent, crimp the splice clip and wires together.
37. Repeat the previous two steps for the ground side wires.
38. Solder (3) the connection (2) together using rosin core solder (1).
39. Center the heat shrink tubing (2) over the solder joint and heat using a heat gun. Heat the joint until the tubing is tightly sealed and sealant (1) comes out of both ends of the tubing.
40. Connect center console housing wire connector (2) with instrument panel connector (3).
41. Place console housing (1) over shifter lever ensuring console tabs seat properly.
42. Install the two screws (1).
43. Insert bezel (2) locator to shifter pod (3).
44. Apply hand pressure until clips are seated.
45. Snap shifter knob (1) onto shifter shaft.
46. Pull up on knob (1) to verify seated correctly.
47. Install the lower steering column cover.
48. Place scuff plate (1) onto door sill (2).
49. Align scuff plate tabs with door scuff holes.
50. Hand press scuff plate ensuring tabs are properly seated.
51. Install the left side lower cowl trim panel.
52. Insert lower tabs on B-pillar lower trim (1) onto sill panel.
53. Hand tap on clip locations ensuring clips are properly seated.
54. Install the 40% seat section (4) over the stud and seat bracket and install the seat bracket bolts (6).
55. Tighten the seat bracket bolts (6) to 46 N.m (34 ft. lbs.).
56. Install the nut (5).
57. Tighten the nuts (5 and 3) to 80 N.m (60 ft. lbs.).
58. Position the seat backs (3) up and latch.
59. Install the belt buckles (1) and install the bolt (2).
60. Tighten the buckle bolt to 66 N.m (49 ft. lbs.)
61. Install the bolts (4) and tighten to 80 N.m (59 ft. lbs.)
62. Place the seat cushion into the vehicle and tuck the rear of the cushion (1) up under the seat belt buckles and rear seat back.
63. Lower the front of the cushion (3) down and install the bolts (2).
64. Tighten the bolts to 80 N.m (60 ft. lbs.).
65. Locate trim clips and align metal clips to lift gate inner.
66. Tap on panel at each trim clip location (2) until properly seated.
67. Install the left cargo net D-ring, if equipped.
68. Install the cargo floor.
69. Install the rear tonneau cover, if equipped.
70. Connect the battery negative cable.
71. Verify system operation.

Note. Prior to installation, obtain the four digit PIN from the dealership's parts department.

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

Note. Prior to installation, the technician should cut the KEY FOBIK Blanks using the original vehicle's Key FOBIK as a template.

1. VIN must be updated with the sales code of the added accessory in order to enable system functionality. Using the DealerCONNECT website and the wiTECH diagnostic application, complete the vehicle configuration.
2. Log on to https://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.
3. On the Home page, select the "Service" tab.
4. On the Service page, look for the Global Claims System area and select "Vehicle Option" .
5. On the Vehicle Option page, enter the last eight digits of the VIN, then select "View" .
6. On the "Available Vehicle Option'" list, scroll down the list and select "XBM Remote Start System" .
7. Click the "Add" button and make sure "XBM Remote Start System" appears in the "Selected Vehicle Option" list on the right.
8. Click the "Save" button to complete adding the sales code to the vehicle database.

1. Prior to installation, locate the hood switch connector/harness (1) located under the upper radiator crossmember (2) near the inside left front fender where the hood latch cable (3) is routed. If the connector/harness is present it will be attached to the electric cooling fan shroud. If the hood switch connector/harness is not present, use the supplied wiring harness in the kit and refer to «HOOD SWITCH AND HARNESS INSTALLATION (IF FACTORY HOOD SWITCH CONNECTOR/HARNESS IS NOT PRESENT)»(ref-484030-S13107787462012070400000) .
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable . Wait two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before further service.
3. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the hood latch (1) on the upper radiator crossmember.
4. Disconnect the hood latch cable (2) from the hood latch (2).
5. Remove the two bolts (3) that secure the hood latch (1) to the upper radiator crossmember and remove the hood latch (1).
6. Detach the hood switch connector/harness from the electric cooling fan shroud and route it to the hood latch area.
7. Connect the hood latch cable (3) to the hood latch assembly (2).
8. Connect the hood switch harness (1) to the hood latch assembly (2).
9. Position the hood latch assembly (2) to the upper radiator crossmember and loosely install the two bolts (4) that secure the latch to the crossmember.
10. Align the hood latch assembly (2) to the upper radiator crossmember using the reference marks made during the removal procedure and tighten the bolts (4) to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).
11. Using the supplied tie wraps in the kit, secure the hood switch take off harness to the existing vehicle harness located under the upper radiator crossmember.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable . Wait two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before further service.
2. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the hood latch (1) on the upper radiator crossmember.
3. Disconnect the hood latch cable (2) from the hood latch (1).
4. Remove the two bolts (3) that secure the hood latch (1) to the upper radiator crossmember and remove the hood latch (1).
5. Remove the cover from the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) (1).
6. Using a suitable flat blade tool, disengage the TIPM's upper retaining tabs (2) and lift up to remove the TIPM (1) from it's bracket.
7. Grasp the TIPM and rotate the assembly up to free it from its mounting bracket. Position the assembly upright to access the electrical connectors located on the bottom of the unit.
8. Remove the gray connector marked "B" (1).
9. Remove the secondary lock (1) from the "B" connector (2).
10. Locate cavity 11 (11) in the "B" connector.
11. Insert the violet/white wire pin (1) from the hood switch harness into cavity 11 (11) of the "B" connector. Make sure that the pin is thoroughly engaged into the cavity.
12. Install the secondary lock (1) into the "B" connector (2).
13. Re-connect the "B" connector into the TIPM.
14. Install the TIPM (1) onto it's bracket. Make sure the TIPM's upper retaining tabs (2) fully engage.
15. Install the cover back on to TIPM (1).
16. Remove the retaining nut (3) from the ground stud (1) located on the upper radiator crossmember (4) and install the hood switch harness ground (2).
17. Install the retaining nut (3) to the ground stud (1).
18. Route the hood switch harness to the hood latch area.
19. Connect the hood latch cable (3) to the hood latch assembly (2).
20. Connect the hood switch harness (1) to the hood latch assembly (2).
21. Position the hood latch assembly (2) to the upper radiator crossmember and loosely install the two bolts (4) that secure the latch to the crossmember.
22. Align the hood latch assembly (2) to the upper radiator crossmember using the reference marks made during the removal procedure and tighten the bolts (4) to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).
23. Using the supplied tie wraps in the kit, secure the hood switch take off harness to the existing vehicle harness located under the upper radiator crossmember.

RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION

Note. The technician should have cut the KEY FOBIK Blanks using the original vehicle's Key FOBIK as a template. Please make sure the KEY FOBIK Blanks have been cut prior to programming. If this step has not been performed, please perform at this time.

Note. Prior to programming, have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine. If necessary, obtain the four digit PIN from the dealership's parts department.

1. When prompted, enter the four digit pin number obtained from the dealership parts department.
2. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
3. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps form the Initial Start Up Screen: Select the "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES" tab Highlight "RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION" Select the "Run Diagnostic" button Select "CONTINUE" Verify that the vehicle VIN number is correct Once verified, select the "Correct VIN" button Note On-Screen instructions and select the "Close" button

PROGRAMMING THE WCM

Note. Have the vehicle PIN readily available to enter whenever prompted before running the routine.

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight "WCM REPLACED" Select the "Start Misc Function" button Select "NEXT" Enter the PIN when prompted. Select "NEXT" Verify that the PIN number is correct Once verified select "NEXT" Select "NEXT" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button Cycle ignition key twice after the successful routine completion.

PROGRAMMING IGNITION KEYS TO THE WCM

Note. Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight "PROGRAMMING IGNITION KEYS OR KEY FOBS" Select "NEXT" Enter the PIN when prompted. Select "NEXT" Verify that the PIN number is correct Once verified select "NEXT" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button Cycle ignition key twice after the successful routine completion. NOTE: If the original keys do not successfully program to the new WCM after the proper procedures are followed correctly, programming new keys will be necessary. NOTE: A maximum of eight keys can be learned by the WIN. Once a key is learned by a WIN, that key has acquired the Secret Key for that WIN and cannot be transferred to any other vehicle.

UPDATE PRESSURE THRESHOLDS

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

Note. The vehicle must be driven before the TPMS light will turn off.

Note. Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight and select "UPDATE PRESSURE THRESHOLDS" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "NEXT" button Verify current settings, select the "NEXT" button to change settings Select "NEXT" Enter the PIN when prompted. Select "NEXT" Verify that the PIN number is correct Once verified, select "NEXT" Select "NEXT" Wait for the WCM to update it's configuration Once the WCM configuration is complete, select "NEXT" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button

TEMPORARY REMOTE START DISABLE

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight and select "TEMPORARY REMOTE START DISABLE" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "NEXT" button Select the "DISABLE" button to activate the remote start function Select "YES" to reset the module and exit the routine, select "NO" to toggle the value back Select "FINISH"

ACTIVATE THE REMOTE START

To activate the remote start the vehicle must have been driven at least 35 MPH.

With the vehicle off, and the doors closed and locked, verify the remote start is functioning properly.
