REMOVAL

1 - POWER STEERING PUMP
2 - ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT
3 - GENERATOR
4 - CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
5 - LOWER IDLER PULLEY
6 - CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
7 - WATER PUMP PULLEY
8 - ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT TENSIONER
9 - UPPER IDLER PULLEY
  1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
  2. Remove belt splash shield.
  3. Remove accessory drive belt. Refer to «BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL»(ref-485484-S39989615472012071300000) .
  4. Remove idler pulley mounting bolt. Remove idler pulley (5 or 9).

INSTALLATION

1 - POWER STEERING PUMP
2 - ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT
3 - GENERATOR
4 - CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
5 - LOWER IDLER PULLEY
6 - CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
7 - WATER PUMP PULLEY
8 - ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT TENSIONER
9 - UPPER IDLER PULLEY
  1. Position pulley (5 or 9) in mounting position. Install idler pulley mounting bolt. Tighten bolt to 48 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
  2. Install accessory drive belt. Refer to «BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION»(ref-485484-S29366023502012071300000) .
  3. Install belt splash shield.
  4. Lower vehicle.

  1. Install bolt for idler pulley (4).
  2. Install the air intake system.
  3. Raise vehicle.
  4. Install main drive belt. Refer to «BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION»(ref-485484-S29366023502012071300000) .
1 - RADIATOR TANK
2 - DRAINCOCK
  1. Align draincock stem to radiator tank opening.
  2. Push draincock into the radiator tank opening.
  3. Tighten the draincock by turning clockwise until it stops.
  4. Fill the cooling system. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-485484-S02211614932012071300000) .

The radiator fan module includes a support shroud (2) with two electrically driven motors (1) with fan blades. The radiator fan module is fastened to the radiator.

  1. Position radiator fan module in retaining clip.
  2. Make sure clips are fully engaged.
  3. Install the wiring harness loom across the upper radiator core support.
  4. Connect radiator fan electrical connector.
  5. Install the oil indicator tube.
  6. Install upper radiator hose at radiator.
  7. Fill the cooling system Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-485484-S02211614932012071300000) .

2 - SUPPORT BRACKET
  1. Position the A/C condenser onto the radiator.
  2. Slide the radiator/condensor assembly into position and seat the radiator assembly lower rubber isolators in the mount holes.
  3. Install the mounting brackets to the upper core support using two torx screws.
  4. Install A/C lines to condenser/cooler.
  5. Install transmission oil cooler tubes support bracket to radiator (2). Tighten mounting screws to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
  6. Position radiator cooling fan assembly on radiator. Refer to «FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION»(ref-485484-S07186189022012071300000) . 1 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR 2 - UPPER RADIATOR HOSE
  7. Install upper and lower radiator hoses at radiator.
  8. Install the front bumper facia. Refer to «FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION»(ref-485477-S06612709572012071300000) .
  9. Install front bottom splash shield (if equipped).
  10. Install under belly pan (if equipped).
  11. Fill cooling system. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-485484-S02211614932012071300000) .
  12. Charge A/C system. Refer to «PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-485480-S27112582802012071300000) .
  13. Install air box assembly. Refer to «BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION»(ref-485475-S14868414802012071300000) or «BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION»(ref-485476-S11483727402012071300000) .
  14. Connect negative battery cable.
  15. Install engine cover.
