Removing - refitting: front subframe Citroen C8 I

Removing

Place the vehicle on a lift, front wheels hanging

Remove

• The wheels
• The plastic cover

Each side: remove the bolts (1)

Move aside the plastic wheelarch protectors (2)

Remove

• The screws (3); (4) and (6)
• The screws (5) and (7)
• The travel sensor fixing screw

Remove

• The 3 fixing bolts securing the power steering fluid radiator to the crossmember
• The 2 bolts (8) (on each side)
• The 2 bolts (9) (on each side)

Remove the cross member (10)

Mark the positioning of all the pipes on the front subframe

Each side: remove the bolts (11)

Support the sub frame on an axle stand

Remove the bolts (12)

Lower the front subframe

Separate the pivot ball joints from the arms

Remove the front subframe

Refitting

Proceed in the reverse order to removal

Tightening torques

Tighten

• Ball joint fixing on pivot: 7 daNm
• Front subframe fixing on body: 10,5 daNm
• Crossmember fixing on body: 8 daNm
• Fixing of the mounting on the front subframe: 6,5 daNm
• Anti-roll bar bearing fixing on front subframe: 10,5 daNm
• Travel sensor fixing screw: 2 daNm
• Lower engine mounting fixing screw: 9 daNm
• Screw fixing the steering rack on the front subframe: 10 daNm
• Wheel bolts: 10 daNm
