Removing - refitting: engine speed sensor (ES9A) Citroen C6 I

[1] ball-joint extractor 8010-T (kit 8010-T)

Removing

Disconnect the battery

Remove

• The air filter housing
• The ball joint (3) using tool [1]
• The outer cable stop (4)

Disengage the gear selection control (2) from the sleeve stop (4) by pulling on the lock (1)

Release the selector control (2)

Loosen the fixing screws of the engine speed sensor (5)

Remove the engine speed sensor (5) by swivelling it

Refitting

Refit

• The engine speed sensor (5): tighten the bolt to 0,7 daN.m
• The outer cable stop (4)
• The gear selector lever (2)

Couple the selection control ball-joint (3) while retaining the selection shaft on the automatic gearbox

Check that the selector lever operates correctly

Refit the air filter

Reconnect the battery
