Check

Disconnect the battery
Remove the air conduit (link between air/air changer and butterfly housing (6))
Unplug
- The connector (at "a")
- The connector (at "b")
- The connector (at "c")
Release the clips (2) and (4)
Disconnect, blank off and move aside
- Fuel hoses (3)
- Air circuit pipes (1)
Remove
- The (7) bolt
- The EGR pipe (5)
Unclip the fuel temperature sensor (9)
Lift the butterfly housing (6)
Insert the air duct "e" of the butterfly housing (6) into the air distributor (10)
Uncouple the air duct "f" of the butterfly housing (6) from the air distributor (8)
Disconnect the connector (at "d")
Remove the butterfly housing (6)
Remove
- The oil filter (11)
- The pre-heater plugs (12)
Fit the tool [2]to cylinder N° 1; tighten to 1 ± 0,1 daN.m
Connect the tool [1]to the tool [2]
Disconnect the connector from the camshaft position sensor
NoteAccess to the camshaft position sensor requires moving the engine cooling cassette towards the front of the vehicle and unclipping the power steering pipe
Reconnect the battery
Operate the starter for 10 seconds
The pressure value in the cylinder should be 20 ± 5 bars (for a new engine)
Remove the tool [1] from the tool [2]
Remove the tool [2] from cylinder N°1
Apply the same method for cylinders N°2, N°3, N°4, N°5 and N°6
NoteThe difference in pressure between 2 cylinders must not exceed 5 bars
Disconnect the battery
Additional operations
Refit the pre-heater plugs (12); tighten to 1 ± 0,1 daN.m
Connect the connector: camshaft position sensor
Reconnect the battery
Check the operation of the equipment and accessories
If necessary: reinitialise the various ECUs
