Removing - refitting: subframe Citroen C-Zero I

Tooling

[0622]pivot ball-joint uncoupling lever

Preliminary operations

Release the front wheel bolts

Lift and support the vehicle with front wheels suspended

Removing

Remove protection plate (1)

From each side, remove

  • The wheel
  • The nut (5)

Move aside on either side: the anti-roll bar rod (4)

From each side, remove

  • The mud shield (3)
  • The nut (6)
  • The bolt (2)

Uncouple the front pivot from the front suspension arm; using the tool [0622] (on both sides)

Remove

  • The screws (7)
  • The screws (9)
  • The fixing lugs (8)
  • The screws (10)
  • The screws (11)

NoteCarefully move aside the air conditioning compressor bracket assembly so that you can remove the steering mechanism screws (11)

From each side, remove

  • The mud shield (13)
  • The bolt (12)

Clamp

  • The steering mechanism
  • The air conditioning compressor with its bracket

Support the front subframe with a lifting tool

NoteInsert a shim between the tool and the subframe

From each side, remove

  • The bolt (14)
  • The bolt (15)

NoteNote the different sizes of the bolts

Remove the anti-roll bar /suspension arm /subframe assembly

On the bench

Remove

  • The anti-roll bar
  • The suspension arms
  • The subframe

Fit; on the sub-frame

  • The suspension arms
  • The anti-roll bar

Refitting

WarningAdhere to the tightening torques

Tightening torque

  • Front axle assembly
  • Steering

WarningAlways fit new Nylstop nuts

Position the subframe /anti-roll bar /suspension arm assembly on the vehicle a few centimetres away from the bodywork

WarningWhen refitting the subframe /anti-roll bar /suspension arm assembly: check that the steering mechanism slots correctly into its location

Refit on each side

  • The bolt (15)
  • The bolt (14)

Take away the lifting equipment

Unclip

  • The steering mechanism
  • The air conditioning compressor with its bracket

Refit on each side

  • The bolt (12)
  • The mud shield (13)

Fit

  • The air conditioning compressor bracket assembly
  • The screws (11)
  • The screws (10)
  • The fixing lugs (8)
  • The screws (7)
  • The screws (9)

Couple the front pivot on the suspension arm (on both sides)

Refit on each side

  • The bolt (2)
  • The nut (6)
  • The mud shield (3)
  • The anti-roll bar rod (4)
  • The nut (5)
  • The wheel

Refit the cover (1)

Complementary operations

Return the vehicle to its wheels

Check and adjust the wheel tracking (if necessary)
