Removing - refitting: engine speed sensor (DV6DTED) Citroen C-Elysee I

Removing

Lift and support the vehicle with the wheels free

Disconnect the ancillaries battery

Take down

  • The RH front road wheel
  • The RH front splash shield
  • The engine undershield (according to equipment)
  • The protection cover from the ancillary drive belt (according to equipment)
  • The ancillary drive belt
  • The crankshaft pulley cover (according to equipment)

WarningTurn the engine by means of the crankshaft pulley screw in the normal direction of rotation

Rotate the engine by means of the crankshaft pulley screw to bring it to the flywheel locking position

Lock the flywheel; using tool [0194-C]

Take down

  • The crankshaft pulley bolt (2)
  • The crankshaft pulley (1)

Disconnect the connector (at "a")

WarningThe magnetic track should carry no sign of damage and should not be approached by any other magnetic source; otherwise, the crankshaft pinion will have to be replaced

Take down

  • The bolts (3) and (4)
  • The engine speed sensor (5)

NoteMove aside the timing protection cover (carefully)

Refitting

WarningAdhere to the tightening torques

Tightening torques

  • Road wheels
  • Engine

Tightening torques

  • Road wheels
  • Engine

Fit

  • The engine speed sensor (5)
  • The bolts (3) and (4)
  • The crankshaft pulley (1)
  • The crankshaft pulley bolt (2) (new)

Reconnect the connector (at "a")

Remove tool [0194-C]

Fit

  • The crankshaft pulley cover (according to equipment)
  • The ancillary drive belt
  • The ancillary drive pulley protective casing (according to equipment)
  • The RH front splash shield
  • The engine undershield (according to equipment)
  • The RH front road wheel
  • The vehicle to its wheels

WarningPerform the operations that are required following a reconnection of the ancillaries battery

Reconnect the ancillaries battery

Controlled

Start the engine

Check the operation of the engine speed sensor (5); Using the diagnostic equipment

Stop the engine
