INTERIOR LAMPS
| CAUTION | Do not use bulbs that have a higher candle power than the bulb listed in the chart below. Damage to the lamp unit can result. |
All the interior bulbs utilize a brass or glass wedge base. Bulbs with aluminum bases are not approved and should not be used.

BULB APPLICATION
Scheme 1
- Open hood.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Insert a small screwdriver into notch by clip and gently pry out unit. (Scheme 1) 1 - CENTER CONSOLE FLOOD LAMP
- Slide back rear cover to expose bulb.
- Replace bulb.
INSTALLATION
- Insert new bulb.
- Gently secure bulb back into slot. NOTE: When installing the retainer, ensure that the forward tabs are inserted properly into the slots in the instrument panel.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
- Close hood.
- Verify vehicle and system operation.
REMOVAL
- Using a flat blade tool, remove console flood lamp from the lower center console. (Scheme 2)
- Disconnect wire connector.
- Remove console flood lamp housing.

- Place console flood lamp housing near opening and connect the wire connector. (Scheme 2)
- Test lamp.
- Place console flood lamp into position and apply hand pressure to snap lamp into position.
- Insert a trim stick between the lamp bezel and courtesy/reading lamp lens.
- Carefully swing down one side the lamp lens.
- Remove bulb from lamp socket.
- Push bulb in socket and snap into place.
- Position lens on lamp and snap into place.
- Insert a trim stick between the lamp unit and the lens.
- Carefully swing down one side the lamp lens.
- Remove lamp from lamp unit socket.
- Push lamp in socket and snap into place.
- Position lens on lamp unit and snap into place.
Scheme 3
- Open hood.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755) or equivalent, gently pry off the dome lamp cover from the sport bar. (Scheme 3) 1 - SPORT BAR CENTER MOULDING 2 - DOME LAMP ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS 3 - DOME LAMPS 4 - DOME LAMPS COVERS
- Disconnect the dome lamp from the connector. (Scheme 3)
- Remove lamp from vehicle.
- Remove lamp from vehicle.
- Connect the dome lamp to the connector. (Scheme 3)
- Position the dome lamp cover on the sport bar and firmly push on cover to snap into place. The lens must be orientated correctly for proper fit. (Scheme 3)
- Connect the battery negative cable.
- Open hood.
- Verify vehicle and system operation.
- Insert a trim stick between the dome lamp unit bezel and the headliner.
- Disconnect wire connector.
- Remove the dome lamp unit from vehicle.
- Place lamp into position.
- Connect electrical connector.
- Install dome lamp unit into headliner by firmly pushing upward.

The instrument cluster turn signals and the high beam indicator are serviceable indicators. (Scheme 4), (Scheme 5) and (Scheme 6). The instrument cluster must first be removed to replace the high beam indicator (Refer to ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - REMOVAL). Then the defective bulb and socket turns out counterclockwise. The instrument cluster bezel needs to be removed to access the turn signal indicators (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/CLUSTER BEZEL - REMOVAL). If any of the other indicators are burned out, the entire cluster must be replaced.
The cluster illumination bulbs are serviceable and may be replaced once the instrument cluster is removed (Refer to ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - REMOVAL) .

The illumination bulbs are serviceable. The bulb and socket turn in clockwise. Then the instrument cluster may be installed. (Scheme 6) (Refer to ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - INSTALLATION).
After servicing the indicator (high beam only), install the instrument cluster (Refer to ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - INSTALLATION) .
After replacing the turn signal bulb(s), install the instrument cluster bezel. (Scheme 5) (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/CLUSTER BEZEL - INSTALLATION).
Scheme 7
- Open liftgate.
- Remove jack storage door from right rear quarter trim panel.
- Remove jack and tool bag.
- Place right hand on stem of cargo lamp unit and pull downward until lens separates from the lamp unit. (Scheme 7) 1 - JACK STORAGE AREA 2 - WIRE CONNECTOR 3 - CARGO LAMP UNIT 4 - BULB 5 - LENS
- Pull cargo lamp unit through jack storage door opening to access bulb. (Scheme 7)
- Disconnect wire connector from cargo lamp unit.
- Pull bulb from unit socket.
- Push bulb into unit socket. (Scheme 7)
- Snap lens onto lamp unit.
- Move wire connector through lamp opening and connect wire connector to cargo lamp unit.
- Place cargo lamp unit into opening and apply hand pressure to seat lamp unit into rear quarter panel.
- Install jack and tool bag in the storage area.
- Install jack storage door to the right rear quarter trim panel.
- Close liftgate.
- Open liftgate.
- Remove jack storage door from right rear quarter trim panel.
- Remove jack and tool bag.
- Place right hand on stem of cargo lamp unit and pull downward until lens separates from the cargo lamp unit. (Scheme 7)
- Pull cargo lamp unit through jack storage door opening to access bulb.
- Disconnect wire connector from cargo lamp unit.
- Remove cargo lamp unit from vehicle.
- Snap lens onto lamp unit. (Scheme 7)
- Move wire connector through lamp opening and connect wire connector to cargo lamp unit.
- Place cargo lamp unit into opening and apply hand pressure to seat lamp unit into rear quarter panel.
- Install jack and tool bag in the storage area.
- Install jack storage door to the right rear quarter trim panel.
- Close liftgate.
- Remove gear shift knob.
- Remove floor console.
- Disconnect socket from transaxle range indicator. (Scheme 8)
- Remove bulb from socket.

- Push bulb into socket. (Scheme 8)
- Snap socket into position.
- Install floor console into position.
- Install gear shift knob.
- Lower visor.
- Insert a small flat bladed tool into the slot between the lamp lens and lamp.
- Carefully pry lens outward.
- Remove bulb from socket.
- Position bulb in socket and push into place.
- Position lens on lamp and snap into place.
